HGV Driver Training Initiative

Encouraging the next generation of men and women HGV drivers.

Once you have passed your car driving test with support from Mum Aid First Aid we will -

Practical car theory driving workshops. This is to dramatically increase the 30% first time pass rate to over 90%
Car driving lessons through Mum Aid First Aid. Coaching and support in between driving lessons to increase pass rates.
Van driving lessons for safety and confidence to drive a transit van. This is invaluable skill that once mastered we can embark on obtaining an HGV licence. This will be a good indicator on whether HGV driving is for you. Our vans are long wheel based LWB.
Lorry experience. We will partner you with an experienced lorry driver to sit and observe life on the road as a lorry driver.
Lorry CPC training will be given while experiencing life on the road of a lorry driver.
HGV doctor examination.
HGV Theory test with practical theory workshops to enhance success rate.
Category C Lorry training lessons to start on private land as we progress through to HGV practical training.
Job placement will be signed up with employers while training. A mentor from your new employer will ensure a great warm experience when starting your new job.

Manual handling.
